The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec reports that the Baltimore Ravens are releasing both cornerback Arthur Maulet and safety Marcus Williams. The move to release Maulet will create $2.2 million in salary cap space in 2025. Maulet, 31, was a key member of one of the NFL's best defenses back in 2023, but he only played in three regular-season games last year due to hamstring and knee injuries. Williams, 28, will be officially cut on the first day of the new league year on Wednesday, a move that was a formality after the two sides altered his contract in January to facilitate his exit this offseason. Williams began the season as Baltimore's starting safety alongside Kyle Hamilton but eventually lost his starting spot to Ar'Darius Washington and played in only 11 regular-season games. Both Maulet and Williams were considered the team's likeliest salary cap casualties.--Keith Hernandez
