The Detroit Tigers have signed shortstop prospect Jack Dunn to a minor-league deal a day after he was released by the Washington Nationals. The 28-year-old spent all of 2024 at Triple-A, and while the .236 batting average doesn't jump off the page, he posted a 14.4 percent walk rate in 443 plate appearances, leading to a strong .362 OBP. For his MiLB career, the former 20th-round draft pick owns an impressive 13.6 percent walk rate and has shown a propensity for stealing bases, having stolen as many as 32 bags in 2023 alone. The right-handed hitter will serve as depth in the minors but has played all over the diamond, which could help his chances for finally getting that big league call-up at some point. He is off the fantasy radar, however.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBallerRead More News
