DraftKings NBA DFS Picks for Today (Tuesday, 2/25/25): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Jayson Tatum - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball, NBA Injury News

Max Kulish's top DraftKings NBA DFS picks for today, Tuesday, 2/25/25. His favorite daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for DraftKings DFS.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! We have a four-game slate, headlined by the TNT doubleheader of Cavs at Magic and the Luka Doncic revenge game of Mavericks at Lakers. These articles focus on the best plays, typically more suited for cash games. However, some exceptions may apply, depending on the size of the slate.

The key to succeeding in NBA DFS is making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available. But it's always essential to have a game plan and zero in on the best players and spots before making those adjustments. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and access our RotoBaller Premium Discord, where @chiefjustice6 is talking about the slate up until lineups lock!

This article will provide my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/25/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our excellent NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 p.m. EST on DraftKings. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings NBA DFS Core Picks

Luka Doncic, LAL - PG ($10.5K)

Lakers head coach JJ Redick vowed to make the offense flow through the Lakers' new superstar, and Doncic held up his end of the deal and delivered his first massive stat line (32/10/7 with five stocks) in the Purple and Gold. Tonight, in a revenge spot against his former team and priced at the cheapest he's been this season, the whole DFS world will be playing Doncic heavily tonight.

Jayson Tatum, BOS - SF/PF ($9.7K)

Tatum has been excellent in the Celtics' first two games post-All-Star break. He finished one assist shy of consecutive triple-doubles, and a similar performance might be in the cards again tonight.

With the Celtics missing Jrue Holiday and potentially both of their top two centers, Tatum will likely again be asked to make up for the absence of playmaking and rebounding those missing players usually contribute.

Others Under Consideration: De'Aaron Fox, SAS - PG ($8.7K), Bradley Beal, PHX - SG/SF ($6.4K), Jose Alvarado, NO - PG ($5.5K)

DraftKings NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

LeBron James, LAL - SF/PF ($10K)

This is as straightforward as a tournament play can be. The math here is simple: the majority of lineups will play Luka Doncic, and if LeBron outscores Luka, you have an edge in both overall score and salary available.

Stephen Curry, GS - PG ($8.8K)

The arrival of Jimmy Butler III has seemed to breathe new life into the Warriors' season, largely due to how it has freed up Curry on offense.

In the six games since Butler arrived, Curry is averaging 29/4.2/5.7, making five three-pointers per game, and shooting 40 percent from three. Those numbers are impressive enough as is, but then factoring in the Warriors have won three of those six games by 20+, meaning the starters saw less action than normal, Curry provides a ceiling higher than any PG not named Luka.

Others Under Consideration: Jaren Jackson Jr., MEM - PF/C ($7.7K), RJ Barrett, TOR - SG/SF ($7.2K), Derrick White, BOS - PG/SG ($6.6K)

DraftKings NBA DFS Value Picks

Bismack Biyombo, SAS - C ($4.3K)

Replacing Victor Wembanyama is quite a tall order (no pun intended), but the Spurs may have found their answer for the rest of the year in Biyombo. After two lackluster appearances to start his stint in San Antonio, Biyombo got a full workload Sunday against the Pelicans and posted 35.5 fantasy points, highlighted by a double-double. The Pelicans defense is so bad DraftKings has them listed 34th out of only 30 NBA teams against centers (they rank 29th out of 30, but close enough).

Kessler Edwards, DAL - PF/C ($4.2K)

The Mavericks have struggled to fill the large, unibrow-sized gap left by Anthony Davis. Kessler has started all five games for Dallas since Davis went down, and even though he has frustratingly conceded minutes so the Mavs can evaluate the two other young centers on the roster, he's been the most productive of the group.

Others Under Consideration: Max Christie, DAL - SG/SF ($5.1K), Keldon Johnson, SAS - SF/PF ($5K), Kelly Olynyk, NO - PF/C ($4.5K)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

Spurs at Pelicans (237.5 O/U)

Two teams that aren't strong defensively and have some of the strongest value plays on the entire slate make this game the most appealing tonight.

Suns at Grizzlies (245 O/U)

A total that's too high to ignore. This is the perfect game for tournaments with low-to-mid ownership projections for both teams. If this game lives up to expectations, it will create unique lineups, which is key to big takedowns.

My Favorite NBA DFS Picks for Today

Here is where I leave you with some of my favorites.

  • My favorite OVERALL play on the slate: Jayson Tatum
  • My favorite CASH play on the slate: Luka Doncic
  • My favorite GPP play on the slate: LeBron James
  • My favorite VALUE play: Bismack Biyombo
