According to MLB.com, catcher Beau Taylor is returning to Seattle on a minor-league contract. Taylor spent the entire 2024 season in the Seattle system but never appeared in a game. The 34-year-old backstop has not seen MLB action since the 2020 season. From 2018 to 2020, Taylor appeared in just 25 games at the MLB level. He posted a .111/.237/.255 line. During the 2022 season, he spent time with Triple-A Norfolk and Las Vegas and posted a cumulative .222/.365/.368 line with seven doubles and six home runs. Given his lack of MLB experience over the past four seasons, fantasy managers should expect the Central Florida product to operate primarily in the minor leagues and serve as a depth catching option in the Mariners system.--Andy Smith
