Keaton Mitchell is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: It's not quite time for Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell (knee) to return yet. He still has time left in his practice window before he must be activated by the Ravens or miss the rest of the season. Baltimore plays the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football to kick off Week 10.

He also faces more backfield competition. The addition of future Hall of Fame RB Derrick Henry and the emergence of Justice Hill as an excellent pass-protector and receiving threat leave less room for Mitchell to earn touches. It's likely the team will work him in slowly, and he could see a smaller workload than he did last year.
The paths to fantasy relevance for the speedster are narrowing. We may have to wait another year for him to be worth starting in fantasy lineups. However, he's a great lottery ticket as a handcuff to Henry. You could probably wait another week before adding him, too. The upside is there, but the opportunity might not show up again until 2025.
