Week 4 Waiver Wire Rankings - Fantasy Football Pickups Include Darnell Mooney, Jauan Jennings, Bucky Irving, Sam Darnold, Cole Kmet, Jalen Nailor

Jauan Jennings - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Fantasy football waiver wire rankings for Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season. Top free agent options to add off waivers, and our rankings will help you prioritize.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of our NFL waiver wire rankings. What a week of NFL action in Week 3 as Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold shredded the Texans' secondary for four touchdowns while San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings erupted for 11 catches for 175 yards and three touchdowns. There were more critical injuries to the tight end position, with Sam LaPorta dealing with an ankle injury while Trey McBride suffered a concussion on Sunday. We break down the waiver wire for this week once again with our Week 4 fantasy football waiver wire rankings for 2024.

If you remain winless or with just one win after Week 3, there's still plenty of football to be played and plenty of time to turn things around. Although, some burning questions need to be answered after Sunday's games. Is Sam Darnold a top-12 fantasy quarterback moving forward? How long will Jauan Jennings be a fantasy factor with Deebo Samuel Sr. and George Kittle sidelined? With Andy Dalton starting over Bryce Young, are the Carolina Panthers' offensive skill positions fantasy relevant again?

Our waiver wire rankings will help answer these questions -- they've been a staple in the fantasy industry for years, providing a quick-hit list of player names that goes deep into the free agent options each week. For those unfamiliar, one of the industry's sharpest fantasy football minds, Nick Mariano, brings you his weekly waiver wire rankings and priority adds for the top 60 potential options.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks

Some of the top names include DeAndre Hopkins, Jauan Jennings, Sam Darnold, Bucky Irving, and Cole Kmet. We recap why these players rostered under 55% in Yahoo! leagues should be on your radar when scrolling through the waiver wire for Week 4:

Jauan Jennings, WR, San Francisco (31% Rostered)
Week 4 Waiver Wire Ranking: 4

With Deebo Samuel out with a calf injury, Jauan Jennings was elevated to a larger role and delivered shocking results. Jennings was targeted 12 times, catching 11 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns. It was the performance of the week.

He's necessarily not the best add if we're talking rest-of-season, but he's the top option here because he's a must-play until Samuel is back, especially with New England and Arizona coming up for the Niners.

DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Tennessee Titans (56% Rostered)
Week 4 Waiver Wire Ranking: 1

Hampered by a knee injury to open the year, DeAndre Hopkins entered the week with three targets on the year. We finally saw some vintage Hopkins against the Packers as he caught six of his seven targets for 73 yards and a score.

That's despite playing under half of the team's offensive snaps. If Hopkins is on your wire, he's a must-add, as his role should keep growing.

Sam Darnold, QB, Minnesota Vikings (29% Rostered)
Week 4 Waiver Wire Quarterback Ranking: 1

If you can't get your hands on Smith, it's hard to continue to ignore what Darnold has done through three weeks. He's currently the QB6 this week, with the Sunday Night Football game left to be scored. He was the QB4 in Week 2 and the QB14 in Week 1. He currently ranks QB4 on the season with a 19.3 PPG average.

He already has eight touchdowns through eight games, a rate likely to regress in the coming weeks. However, Kevin O'Connell has employed one of the best passing offenses in the NFL, which has continued with Darnold.

With Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison (likely will be back in Week 4), Jalen Nailor, and (eventually) T.J. Hockenson, Darnold has a lot of pass-catchers at his disposal. Not to mention one of the best play-callers in the NFL.

Cole Kmet, TE, Chicago Bears (26% Rostered)
Week 4 Waiver Wire Ranking: 16

Kmet had been in a tight end committee in Week 1. He started to pull away from Gerald Everett in Week 2, but he successfully did that in Week 3. It shouldn't have taken the coaching staff three weeks for this to happen, but Shane Waldron is obsessed with Everett, or so it seems.

That could lead to trouble on any given week, but as long as his role this past weekend stays, Kmet should be added to fantasy rosters.

He had a breakout performance with 11 targets, 10 receptions, 97 yards, and one touchdown en route to 20.7 half-PPR points. It certainly helped that Keenan Allen was not active, and his injury status is one fantasy manager looking to add Kmet will have to track.

However, he's played himself back onto the streaming radar, and with how bad the position has been, anyone showing signs of life is worth adding.

Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (35% Rostered)
Week 4 Waiver Wire Ranking: 3

Bucky Irving's enticing blend of decisiveness, burst, and acceleration has propelled him into an ongoing role within Tampa Bay’s backfield rotation. The promising rookie should also maintain a weekly allotment of touches in offensive coordinator Liam Coen’s attack.

Irving has now accumulated 55 snaps (33.5% share), while Rachaad White leads the Buccaneers’ backfield with 116 (70.7% share).

White is also pacing the team in rushing attempts (31/10.35 per game) but registered a season-low six carries in Week 3. White has also manufactured 66 yards while averaging only 2.1 yards per attempt.
