D'Andre Swift fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 3 (2024). Should you start or sit D'Andre Swift for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Consider in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3/Flex
ANALYSIS: D'Andre Swift has busted two weeks in a row and may be on the path toward season-long mediocrity. But just as we were about to write him off, a matchup with the Indianapolis Colts gave a glimmer of hope.
The Colts are surrendering 237 yards per game on the ground. Josh Jacobs rushed 32 times for 151 yards last week with Malik Willis under center. Joe Mixon rushed 30 times for 159 yards in Week 1. The Colts can't stop the run, and All-Pro defensive tackle DeForest Buckner won't play on Sunday.
These sound like great things for Swift. In theory, yes. But he's been so bad this year that a cushy matchup may not even make a difference.
Bears have been average in run block win rate at 72% so far.
But per @NextGenStats, Swift ranks dead last in rush yards over expected % at 18%, and second-worst in RYOE/attempt at -2.46. Despite his contract, I expect he’ll see less work going forward. https://t.co/Mq1SPTIKBj

For Caleb Williams to succeed, especially early in his career, he needs a reliable running game. Khalil Herbert has all of four carries for seven yards. But he has to be more involved moving forward.
Swift could be a solid start. He could bust again and lose touches to Herbert. More importantly, this could be the final shot for Swift to prove himself as a fantasy asset.
