CBB DFS: Early DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (3/15/24)

Zach Edey - CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's Early DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 3/15/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

We still have a split slate today with most of the major conference tournaments in the quarterfinal rounds. We still have 18 games going on, though the split isn't quite as convenient as it was yesterday. We will concentrate on the seven-game early slate before tackling the main sometime tomorrow. It has been late afternoon by the time DraftKings gets the slate active and I get time to go through it, but I won't leave you hanging!

The Big Ten starts us off with Michigan State and Purdue. The SEC is next with Mississippi State facing the Vols in Nashville. East Carolina takes on a South Florida team who is clinging to the bubble. Wisconsin takes on Northwestern. Wichita State draws UAB in the second game of the AAC afternoon docket. South Carolina takes on Auburn. We close this out with St. John's facing UConn. The Johnnies have likely played their way in already.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 3/15/24, starting at noon EDT. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Dalton Knecht, Tennessee ($8.6K)

The Vols have their sights set on a one seed if Houston or Carolina should stumble. If they are to run loose through the SEC Tournament, it will be on the back of Knecht. He dropped 40 actual points on Kentucky in the last game of the regular season. No player in college can score like Knecht. His ceiling is higher than anyone else. The bum only put up 44.5 DraftKings points on the Bulldogs in the first meeting. Oh, who am I kidding? That's more than enough in this price range!

Josh Hubbard, Mississippi State ($7.4K)

Hubbard is getting hot at the right time. The star freshman closed the season averaging 35.9 DraftKings points per game over the last six games and never dropping below 30. The Bulldogs played some really good teams in that span. These numbers were against Kentucky, A&M, South Carolina, Auburn, and LSU twice. Hubbard had a solid game against Tennessee with 29 DraftKings points back on January 10. Hubbard was exciting then, but he had none of the consistency that he has now. He has grown up a lot in the last two months.

John Blackwell, Wisconsin ($5.2K)

Blackwell closed his freshman season strong, scoring 35 points in 55 minutes over the last two games of the season. That carried over into the first day of the Big Ten Tournament with another 18 points and five rebounds against Maryland. I would still like to see Blackwell get more minutes, but we'll deal with that as it comes. He only took three shots in 20 minutes in the first game against Northwestern on January 13. That's not happening again. I wouldn't be shocked if Blackwell paced the Badgers again.

Bijan Cortes, Wichita State ($4.4K)

The Oklahoma transfer has had trouble making an impact for the Shockers, but he showed up in Fort Worth ready to play. Cortes has 23 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists, and a steal in 53 minutes over the first two games of the AAC Tournament. The bottom can fall out of Cortes at any moment. Lord knows he's done it to me a couple of times this season. However, if he goes over 20 DraftKings points again at this price, we're way ahead of the game.

Also consider: Tristen Newton, Connecticut ($8.8K); Braden Smith, Purdue ($8.2K); Zakai Zeigler, Tennessee ($7.9K); Selton Miguel, South Florida ($6.6K); A.J. Hoggard, Michigan State ($6.4K); Chris Youngblood, South Florida ($6K); AJ Storr, Wisconsin ($5.8K); Alejandro Vasquez, UAB ($5.5K); Fletcher Loyer, Purdue ($5.3K); Cam Hayes, East Carolina ($4.8K); Nahiem Alleyne, St. John's ($3.5K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Zach Edey, Purdue ($10.7K)

STOP THE PRESSES! EDEY IS UNDER 11K! This is the first time he has been priced this cheap since February 10 and he still hasn't been under 40 DraftKings points since January 23. It's only a $300 discount, but I've already found a good use for that savings. Can you as well? Edey smashed Sparty for 56.75 DraftKings points in the first game. There is zero reason to fade him in cash games, and I have a hard time getting on board a GPP fade at this point.

Collin Murray-Boyles, South Carolina ($7.8K)

The freshman is having a fantastic March. He is averaging 17.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 2.5 steals in four games this month. That's a superb return for the price. Murray-Boyles held his own against Auburn in the first meeting, putting up a solid 31.75 DraftKings points in that game. I expect another good one here, too.

D.J. Jeffries, Mississippi State ($5.5K)

The Vols did a good job on Tolu Smith in the first meeting. Jeffries nearly outscored Smith in that game despite being significantly cheaper. I'm banking on that happening again. Jeffries notched 24.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Tennessee and has been at or over that mark in each of the last three games. That's good enough for me!

Ezra Ausar, East Carolina ($4.8K)

Ausar's dominant performance against Tulsa yesterday came out of nowhere. He had a career-high 28 points and a career-best 10 rebounds to help the Pirates extend their season. I usually won't pay for the game of someone's life, but Ausar is cheap enough to see if he can turn in an encore performance in a GPP. I wouldn't rely on him in cash just yet, but his GPP star is a little higher in the sky right now.

Also consider: Yaxel Lendeborg, UAB ($9.5K); Jonas Aidoo, Tennessee ($7.6K); Kasean Pryor, South Florida ($7.3K); Joel Soriano, St. John's ($7.2K); Nick Martinelli, Northwestern ($6.9K); B.J. Mack, South Carolina ($5.8K); Chaney Johnson, Auburn ($5K); Corey Walker Jr., South Florida ($4.4K); Blake Preston, Northwestern ($4K)
