Gameweek 22 Rankings - Fantasy Premier League Predictions, Tips, and Picks for 2023/24

FPL Gameweek 22 rankings, predictions, tips, and picks for Fantasy Premier League lineups. RotoBaller's EPL fantasy Gameweek 22 rankings for the 2023/24 FPL season.

Welcome to Gameweek 22, RotoBallers! This is our third year covering FPL, and we are bringing you more coverage than ever. We publish two weekly articles: a staff roundtable preview and our weekly rankings. Then, once a month, we have our newest report, The Watchlist, a review of the previous month and a look ahead to the upcoming fixtures.

Twenty-one gameweeks down, 17 to go. After a long Gameweek 21, we are finally in the swing of a semi-normal FPL gameweek. It takes place over three days but is a Tuesday through Thursday schedule. All eyes will be on Anfield on Wednesday night to see how Liverpool rallies around the news that Jurgen Klopp is leaving Anfield after nine seasons in charge.

The Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 22 deadline is 1:00 PM ET on Tuesday, January 30, when Nottingham Forest meets Arsenal at the City Ground. Also, look out for the rest of our excellent soccer coverage as the squad gets you all set for every English Premier League, Major League Soccer, and UEFA Champions League slate from a DFS and betting perspective.

Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 22 Rankings

Our weekly rankings highlight players who could be worth a punt in your Fantasy Premier League squad. While the rankings will be filled with familiar names, a low-owned player with an easy fixture will rise up the one-week charts. For each gameweek, we will provide our top-15 goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards. These can also be applied as DFS rankings for your weekend contests.

Gameweek 21 Fantasy Premier League High Scorers

  • Goalkeeper: Jason Steele, Brighton & Dorde Petrovic, Chelsea - 10 points
  • Defender: Gabriel, Arsenal - 17 points
  • Midfielder: Diogo Jota, Liverpool - 19 points
  • Forward: Darwin Nunez, Liverpool & Rasmus Højlund, Man United - 11 points

FPL Goalkeepers - Gameweek 22 Rankings

  • Over the last seven meetings between Man City and Burnley at the Etihad Stadium, the Citizens outscored the Clarets 35-1. Ederson isn't an FPL option for the long-term, but if you were looking for a four to five-week punt before a potential Wildcard, he is a great target. The Brazilian number one is also an excellent DFS option.

FPL Defenders - Gameweek 22 Rankings

  • FPL managers may want to swerve Pedro Porro because of a blank fixture in Gameweek 26. However, Spurs plays three of its next four fixtures at home, and the four-game run features Brentford, Everton, Brighton, and Wolves. Even with the blank fixture in a few weeks, Pedro Porro is a safe bet to be a top-three highest-scoring defender between now and the end of February.

FPL Midfielders - Gameweek 22 Rankings

  • Diogo Jota is a perfect Mohamed Salah replacement for those FPL managers who have held onto the Egyptian winger. On the year, Diogo has 76 points and 32 of them have come in the last three fixtures. The Portuguese midfielder added another goal in the FA Cup over the weekend and is in fantastic form. Chelsea is a tougher test than earlier in the season, but Liverpool has scored eight goals in its previous two Premier League games and is firing on all cylinders.

FPL Forwards - Gameweek 22 Rankings

  • Ollie Watkins is in a bit of a slump and needs to restart his FPL campaign sooner rather than later. The English striker has had one goal since Gameweek 14 and has come away with less than 0.5 xGI (expected goal involvement) in seven of his last eight matches. Newcastle is in a mini spiral and has conceded at least three goals in six of the previous seven games. If Watkins can't get on the scoresheet against the Magpies, FPL managers will sell him in droves.
