Five players from the Canadian 2018 World Junior team have been ordered to surrender to London, Ont. police following a lengthy investigation into a possible sexual assault during a team event prior to the tournament. While the names of the players have not yet been released, it's worth noting that 2018 Team Canada members Carter Hart, Dillon Dube, Cal Foote, Michael McLeod, and Alex Formenton have all requested and been granted leaves of absence from their respective professional clubs. All but Formenton have spent time in the NHL this season as he is spending the 2023-24 season in the Swiss-A league after failing to sign a restricted free-agent contract with the Ottawa Senators. The NHL and NHLPA have yet to comment on the ongoing situation.--Brenton KempRead More News
