The Buffalo Sabres have traded forward prospect Filip Cederqvist to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for future considerations. A fifth-round pick of Buffalo in the 2019 NHL Draft, Cederqvist has notched one goal and four points across 19 games for the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans this season. The 23-year-old Swede made the move overseas to North America prior to last season and recorded nine goals and 20 points in 55 games with Rochester before adding three assists in eight playoff contests. The Sabres currently sit 17-20-4 on the season, good for seventh in the Atlantic Division and seven points back of the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.--Brenton KempRead More News
