ANALYSIS: Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had low expectations this year after missing last season recovering due to a torn ACL. The veteran is the WR57 for the year, averaging seven half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has been productive in his first season with the Ravens, ranking second on the team in receiving touchdowns (three).
Beckham’s role on offense has expanded since the team lost Mark Andrews to a season-ending injury. Since Week 11, the wide receiver has averaged three receptions on 6.3 targets for 65.3 receiving yards and 9.5 fantasy points per game, scoring 13.6 or more in half of the contests.
However, he had only one reception on three targets for 14 receiving yards and 1.9 fantasy points last week despite an excellent fantasy football matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Beckham faces the San Francisco 49ers on Christmas Day in a potential Super Bowl preview.
The 49ers have held opposing wide receivers to 22.9 fantasy points per game since the bye week, surrendering 17.1 or fewer fantasy points in half of the contests. Fantasy players should avoid using Beckham this week outside of DFS lineups.
