ANALYSIS: With star running back Austin Ekeler struggling since his return from Injured Reserve, Chargers head coach Brandon Staley suggested this week that Joshua Kelley could see increased opportunities down the stretch. The Athletic's Daniel Popper reported that Staley as saying, "Competition for carries is going to be something that you see happening."

Much to the frustration of his fantasy managers, Kelley struggled to capitalize on Ekeler's absence earlier in the season and he's only posted a couple of useable fantasy scores in 2023. However, with an increased role likely in Week 14 and a soft end-of-season schedule ahead for the Chargers, Kelley is worth adding off the waiver wire in 12+ team leagues and can be considered a Flex option in deeper formats.
