DraftKings Afternoon CBB DFS Lineup Picks For 12/9/23 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Today's DraftKings afternoon college basketball DFS lineup picks for 12/9/23. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice and lineup sleepers to help you win on DraftKings.

This is what we have waited for: it's wall-to-wall college basketball all day today! I'll be with you for every step of this DFS journey. The afternoon slate gives us six games and all of them are good. How good? This one starts off with the Border War between Kansas and Missouri in Lawrence. These teams haven't been in the same conference for a decade and they still hate each other.

Next up is Ohio State visiting Penn State. We have the Battle of the Queen City between Cincinnati and Xavier. That's always a blast! St Mary's heads to Fort Collins to take on a very dangerous Colorado State team. We have UCLA in Philly to take on Villanova. We close this one out with the Holy War in Salt Lake City between BYU and Utah.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/9/23, starting at 5:15 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Kevin McCullar, Kansas ($9,000)

The Texas Tech transfer just continues to score for the Jayhawks. McCullar is averaging 19.2 points per game on the season and delivering double figures in peripheral stats in every game. This guy scored 21 points against Connecticut. I'm not scared of Missouri shutting him down.

Bruce Thornton, Ohio State ($7,900)

Thornton has been a perimeter force for the Buckeyes so far this year. He has topped 20 points in three of the last five games and four times overall this season. On top of that, Thornton is good at finding open teammates and a solid rebounder. Thornton isn't a volume shooter. He's great at creating his own shots and getting to the line. That keeps the floor on Thornton high.

Jaxson Robinson, BYU ($6,300)

Robinson is instant offense for the Cougars. He has scored at least 17 points in four of the last five games despite not hitting 30 minutes in any of them. Robinson doesn't do much else, so he has some risk attached against a solid defensive team like Utah. Still, Robinson is getting a lot of shots and he's making more than half of them right now.

Jordan Longino, Villanova ($5,500)

Longino has been a capable fill-in for Justin Moore. He might be a better scorer than Moore, but he isn't as good of a passer. Still, we're comparing Longino to one of the best guards in Villanova history. His numbers by themselves are very good. He has scored 29 points, hauled in eight rebounds, dished out six assists, recorded a block, and picked up a steal in two games starting for Moore. That's not bad for the price.

Also consider: Isaiah Stevens, Colorado State ($8,800); Aidan Mahaney, St. Mary's ($7,200); Sean East II, Missouri ($7,000); Dayvion McKnight, Xavier ($6,300); Augustas Marciulionis, St. Mary's ($5,800); John Newman III, Cincinnati ($5,400); Nick Kern Jr., Penn State ($4,600); Elmarko Jackson, Kansas ($3,900)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Hunter Dickinson, Kansas ($10,300)

Dickinson is a walking double-double for the Jayhawks. Only Marquette and UConn – both top-10 teams – have kept him from a double-double aside from his 20 minutes in a blowout win over Manhattan. Dickinson isn't putting up quite the scoring numbers that he did at Michigan, but he doesn't need to. He's a force in the middle that Kansas hasn't had since Joel Embiid.

Viktor Lakhin, Cincinnati ($8,000)

Lakhin is one of the more efficient shooters around even though he's taking more shots than he did last year. Lakhin has always been a good rebounder, but you can tell he has worked on his shooting and passing. That makes him someone for us to track in DFS circles. Lakhin is only getting better on a Cincinnati team that needs his scoring right now.

Jamison Battle, Ohio State ($6,200)

Battle's efficient shooting fits in nicely with the Buckeyes. With Felix Okpara around to do the rebounding, Battle has taken on more of a scoring load than he had at Minnesota. Battle has scored in double figures in each of the last four games, topping 20 in two of those. The other two games were blowouts. If Penn State keeps this close, look out!

Abou Ousmane, Xavier ($5,200)

If college basketball had a penalty box, Ousmane would be a frequent flyer. The only thing holding him back is foul trouble. Ousmane has notched four fouls in each of the last three games (and was tossed the game before that due to technical fouls). He's a high-energy guy when on the court. Ousmane is averaging 7.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game despite only averaging 17.4 minutes. If he can stay out of foul trouble, he can break a slate.

Also consider: Mitchell Saxen, St. Mary's ($7,600); KJ Adams, Kansas ($7,300); Arthur Kaluma, Kansas State ($7,500); Noah Waterman, BYU ($6,100); Keba Keita, Utah ($5,900); Patrick Cartier, Colorado State ($5,400); Ben Carlson, Utah ($5,000)
