Kenneth Gainwell is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 14 of the 2023 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 27% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Kenneth Gainwell has been an intriguing fantasy running back stash all season as the handcuff to D'Andre Swift. Swift left the Week 13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers late in the contest with an undisclosed injury, giving Gainwell a boost on the fantasy radar.
Although Gainwell has just 337 total yards and two touchdowns this season, he would have a ton of upside if he's elevated to the RB1 role in Philadelphia behind an elite offensive line. At this point in the season, rostering running backs with contingent upside has the potential to be far more beneficial than hanging onto fringe flex wideouts for fantasy managers seeking a championship win.
While Swift may very well be fine and not miss any action, fantasy managers should take any opportunity to boost their roster ahead of Week 14. Gainwell is one of the last few players on the waiver wire with potential top-24 upside at his position.
