DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (11/1/23)

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Wednesday (11/1/23). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

How in the world is it November already? We are about halfway through the greatest 50 days of the year for any football fan. October 8 marked day one of 50 consecutive days of either FBS or NFL football. What a time to be alive! For all of the evil things the Mouse does, one thing that is right about all of this is ESPN gobbling up the TV rights to Conference USA, the Fun Belt, and the MAC. Instead of putting those games on ESPN+ on Saturdays, they did the right thing for everyone and gave us mid-week football. The ESPN money may have destroyed the Pac-12, but it also gave us this.

It's November, so that means it's time for some MACtion. Last night gave us a field full of snow in Michigan. What will tonight bring? We kick this off with Ball State heading down to take on Bowling Green. We end in Akron with Kent taking on the Zips. We've been waiting 48 weeks for these glorious four weeks!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/1/23, locking at 7 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

College Football Betting Picks for November 1

I don't have the full odds article done yet, so we are just going to do this here. That's what Wednesday games do to me. You know the drill!

Ball State at Bowling Green (-6.5)

Betting Confidence Factor: 4

Too low. The Ball State defense has been pretty good, but this is the best offense they have faced since the Georgia Southern game. The Eagles racked up a 40-spot on the Cardinals. Bowling Green probably won't do that, but they should get in the 30s and I don't think the Ball State offense is good enough to keep up.

Kent State at Akron (-3.5)

Betting Confidence Factor: 2

I'm still a sucker for the Zips. It doesn't hurt that the Flashes got thrashed by Buffalo, EMU, and Ohio. In fact, Kent has only scored 40 points in four MAC games. Akron hasn't been much better (48 points), but they're at home. Give me the Zips.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Kiael Kelly, Ball State ($6,500)

This is the weakest quarterback slate of the year. Okay...maybe not the weakest, but definitely the most inconsistent. Kelly finally supplanted journeyman Layne Hatcher as the starter (that's right...college football has journeymen now). He was ineffective through the air against Toledo, but he did run for 98 yards. Last week against Central Michigan, he only missed on three of his 16 passes and ran for 64 and a pair of touchdowns. I'm in on Kelly if he's going to keep running (42 attempts in the last three games).

Connor Bazelak, Bowling Green ($6,100)

The former Missouri and Indiana quarterback was supposed to lead the Falcons to new heights this year. While they have played well, you can't blame all of that on Bazelak. He has lost his job a couple of times to Camden Orth and the two usually split time. Considering that Bazelak did nothing to solidify his job as the starter, this is a risk. He has been marginally more effective than Orth though.

Also consider: Michael Alaimo, Kent State ($5,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Terion Stewart, Bowling Green ($8,000)

Stewart isn't just the best back in the MAC. He's probably in the top 20 in the country. Those of you who don't pay a lot of attention to the MAC otherwise will get to see Stewart since he is about the only game in town. Stewart has topped 100 rushing yards in four of the last five games. He found the end zone three times against Akron in the last game. Ball State's run D is decent, but decent won't stop Stewart.

Jaylen Thomas, Kent State ($5,000)

Thomas had taken over as the lead back even before Gavin Garcia's injury. Garcia might steal a few carries, but there will be plenty to go around against Akron. The Zips have allowed 15 rushing touchdowns in eight games and nearly 150 yards per game. Surprisingly enough, the Zips have been far worse against the run at home. (190 yards per game). There is a lot of potential here if Thomas is going to get 20 touches again.

Also consider: Marquez Cooper, Ball State ($7,400); Lorenzo Lingard, Akron ($6,700)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Qian Magwood, Ball State ($6,000)

This slate is going to be won at receiver. Magwood gives us the best volume on the slate since none of the four teams throw a whole lot. Magwood has 19 receptions in the last three games. To put that in context, The team only has 48 completions in those three games. That's almost 40% of the airborne balls coming to Magwood. I like those odds. Kelly only completed 13 passes last week and more than half (seven) went to Magwood.

Chrishon McCray, Kent State ($5,700)

McCray has hauled in 26 passes over the last four games for Kent. The freshman's 35 receptions on the season are 20 more than anyone else on the team. I won't say that the touchdowns will come because they might not. The quarterback situation is not a good one. However, McCray is the most talented receiver on the entire slate. He'll produce something no matter what.

Odieu Hiliare, Bowling Green ($4,000)

I'll call his shutout against the Bulls an anomaly. Hiliare had at least four receptions in four of the six games before that. Hiliare had one of the best MACtion lines ever last year. Let's take a trip down memory lane and show you what he's capable of.

The quarterback play for the Falcons is atrocious this year, but if anyone can make the most of it, it's Hiliare. He's a great GPP option.

Also consider: Alex Adams, Akron ($5,400); Tanner Koziol, Ball State ($4,000)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

Ball State

The Cardinal stack is one of my favorites because it's cheap and they will have to throw to keep up with Bowling Green. A Kelly/Cooper/Magwood trio is going to be very popular, but I think the Cardinals can even sustain a fourth option tonight. Tanner Koziol has been forgotten at times, but he had 18 receptions in the first three games of the season. There is still potential there.

Also consider: Kent State, Akron
