PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for NBA games taking place on November 1, 2023.

Giannis Antetokounmpo UNDER 0.5 3-PT Made - Take the under any time you see a prop regarding Giannis Antetkounmpo's three-point shooting. As dominant as the 2021 champion is, he likes to role-play as a shooter but fails worse at the role than Jared Leto's poor cosplay of the Joker. However, despite his insistence on attempting shots from deep, Antetokounmpo has registered only one shot from such a distance in three games. As Damian Lillard acclimates in Milwaukee, expect fewer three-point attempts from the two-time MVP.

Michael Porter Jr. OVER 7.5 Rebounds+Assists - As a Denver Nuggets follower since 2019, I never imagined Michael Porter Jr. would become a quality rebounder. However, to my amazement, he's registered two double-digit rebound performances and one game in which he grabbed nine boards. It's not precisely Dennis Rodman-level production, but such numbers build trust with bettors in that category moving forward.
Coming off a one-rebound outing vs. the Utah Jazz, Porter Jr. has a chance to erase such a lowly stat out of his memory. I would have bet straight rebounds if Porter Jr. were listed in such a category, leaving me to believe he's a no-brainer to go over, so I settled for the rebound-assists combo.

Walker Kessler UNDER 2.5 blocks and Steals - After four games, the Utah Jazz have a 1-3 record. While no one expected them to be world beaters, one of the Jazz's promising prospects hasn't built on the solid defensive performance from their rookie season. Averaging .8 blocks per contest (down from 2.4 a season prior) and zero blocks in the game log, Walker Kessler is going through an apparent struggle.
Perhaps this next game is where the struggling stops. However, even if Kessler breaks out of the aforementioned slump, 2.5 blocks and steals is a cushioned bet. I think he will pick up a few blocks from the injury-devastated frontcourt of the Memphis Grizzlies, but registering a steal seems unlikely.
Nikola Jokic OVER 8.5 Assists - In four meetings last season (including the playoffs) vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves, Nikola Jokic recorded as many triple-double performances. Considering Jokic embarrassed Anthony Davis in the season opener, imagine what he will do to the less-skilled Rudy Gobert and the defensive-deficient Karl-Anthony Towns. A triple-double performance or not, the line is set at 8.5 assists, cushioning the bet.

Cade Cunningham UNDER 0.5 Blocks - Typically, the block category on Prize Picks consists of wings and centers. However, for Wednesday's games, Detroit Pistons point guard Cade Cunningham appears as the unicorn of the category. While the line lists 0.5 blocks, something feels weird. It's rather peculiar a point guard made the list. Despite the cautionary vibes, odds-wise, betting the under feels right, as Cunningham hasn't rejected a shot since Detroit's season opener vs. the struggling Miami Heat.
Overall recommendation for this play: FLEX
