NASCAR Xfinity Series: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for Charlotte Roval Drive for the Cure 250 (10/7/23)

Justin Carter's DraftKings DFS lineup picks for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Drive for the Cure 250 at the Charlotte Roval. Read his daily fantasy NASCAR advice and Xfinity sleepers.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is back in action on Saturday at the Charlotte Roval for the final race of the Round of 12. Following this one, four drivers will see their quest for an Xfinity Series title end. John Hunter Nemechek and Justin Allgaier are locked into the next round through wins, while Cole Custer, Austin Hill, and Chandler Smith are all at least 32 points above the cut line. But Sheldon Creed and Daniel Hemric, currently seventh and eighth, will have to hold off Parker Kligerman, who is just one point back of the cut line. Jeb Burton, Josh Berry, and Sam Mayer will need a lot of luck for their runs to continue.

Last year, A.J. Allmendinger won this race. In fact, he's won four consecutive Xfinity Series races at this track. But with Allmendinger in the Cup Series now, we'll be guaranteed a new winner on Saturday. The only other driver to win here, Chase Briscoe, is also not in this field.

Here at RotoBaller, we want to help you make informed decisions about your DFS lineups, which is why I'll be breaking down the slates for the Xfinity Series. Let's look at some NASCAR Xfinity DFS lineup picks for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Drive for the Cure 250 on DraftKings. Be sure to also check out our NASCAR Premium Tools for Xfinity Series including our DFS Lineup Optimizer and powerful Research Station. This slate locks on 10/7/23 at 3:19 p.m. ET.

Sam Mayer - $10,700

Starts First

Sam Mayer, who already has two wins on road courses this season, starts on the pole for Saturday's race. He's also in a virtual must-win situation, as he sits 34 points below the cut line.

Can Mayer do it? Well, he's my pick to win this race. He's shown a prowess on tracks like this in 2023 and starting on pole offers him a chance to avoid some of the early carnage that the Roval's capable of causing.

In two starts on this track, Mayer's finished 10th and 11th, but he's taken a pretty big step forward in 2023, so I think his results here can take a big step forward as well.

John Hunter Nemechek - $10,300

Starts 38th

On the exact opposite end of the field, we've got John Hunter Nemechek, who starts back in 38th. This race isn't necessarily important for Nemechek since he's already clinched a spot in the next round, but I'm sure he'll make his way through the field, giving him more place differential upside than any other driver in the race.

Nemechek's raced here once in the Xfinity Series, starting 14th and finishing seventh back in 2019 while driving for GMS Racing. Provided he can avoid any potential mayhem, he'll be up in the top 10 by the end of things.

Myatt Snider - $7,800

Starts 31st

Myatt Snider returns to the Joe Gibbs Racing 19 car this weekend, making just his third Xfinity Series start of the season. His average finish this year is 5.5, which includes a sixth-place finish at Portland, another road course.

Snider starts way back in 31st for this one, so there's plenty of place differential upside from this car. He's run three races at this track, posting top-15 results every time. Snider's an underrated road course racer who should have a solid result on Saturday.

Brett Moffitt - $7,300

Starts 27th

Brett Moffitt, whose 2023 plans seem to be pretty up in the air right now, is another place differential option on Saturday, as he rolls off from the 27th position.

Moffitt doesn't necessarily have the same road course talent as the other drivers I'm writing about, with just three top 10s in 20 career road course starts in the Xfinity Series and an average finish of 23.4.

But two of those three top 10s came this year, as he brought this AM Racing 22 car home fourth at Chicago and 10th at Indianapolis. Those are encouraging results for this weekend.

Connor Mosack - $6,900

Starts 16th

This one's a little risky, as Connor Mosack has had a pretty up-and-down year. In 19 Xfinity Series starts, his average finish is just 25.7. Considering he starts 16th in this one, there's plenty of downside.

But the places I feel I can trust Mosack are the road courses. He has two top 10s this season, both on road courses. And while he's run a few races in JGR equipment, it's worth noting both top 10s were for the Sam Hunt Racing team that he's driving for on Saturday. My only real concern is his lack of experience at this track.

Sage Karam - $6,200

Starts 20th

Former IndyCar driver Sage Karam has been venturing into Xfinity more over the last few years, including making a career-high 11 starts so far this season. He's made those starts for a variety of teams and has currently landed in the 66 for MBM. Arguably, it's the worst team he's driven for this year.

But Karam had the team's best run at Texas, where he finished 23rd. And he's a solid road course racer, finishing fourth at Road America in a Sam Hunt car and then 15th at both Indianapolis and Watkins Glen in an Alpha Prime car. I wish he started a little deeper, but I think there's some value here.
