Cincinnati Bengals - NFL Betting Analysis

Hoping to build on last year's post-season run, the Bengals aim to surpass their trip to the AFC-Championship game, which concluded with a 23-20 loss against the Chiefs. As they entered the playoffs last year, the Bengals held a regular season record of 12-4. Tallying 4-3 against division opponents, Cincinnati secured a 1st place finish within the AFC-North standings.

Last season, Joe Burrow completed 68.3% of his passes for a total of 4475 yards. For the season, he finished 5th among QB's in passing yards and 2nd in touchdowns (35). Burrow's passer rating for the season was 100.8 (11th). Cincinnati is coming off a season in which they were 7th in points per game, at 25.7 points per contest. In terms of their offensive efficiency, they averaged 5.4, which was 15th in the NFL. On the ground, the Bengals ran the ball an average of 24.6 times per contest (24th) and finished 7th in passing yards.

This season, the Bengals are hoping for another strong performance from a defensive unit that finished 5th in points allowed at 19.6 points per game. Cincinnati's finished with 13 interceptions and 5th in overall takeaways (5th). In the red zone, the Bengals held teams to a conversion rate of 52.0%, which was 9th in the NFL.

Cincinnati ended last season with an over/under record of 7-11-1 and finished with an average scoring differential of +6.2. Against the spread, the Bengals went 13-6, including 5-3 ATS at home and 8-3 on the road. For the season, Cincinnati was favored 14 times.

Cleveland Browns - NFL Betting Analysis

Following a season where they wrapped up with a total record of just 7-10, the Browns are gearing up for their season opener. In the AFC-North, Cleveland finished 4th and posted a 3-3 record against their division opponents. On their home field, the Browns concluded with a 4-4 record, and when away from home, they went 3-6.

Cleveland starting quarterback Deshaun Watson will taking over for Jacoby Brissett who led the Browns in passing yards last season (2608) and is now on the Commanders. Last season, Watson played in six games and finished with 1102 yards on a completion percentage of 58.2%. Cleveland closed out last season as the 17th ranked offense in terms of points per game (21.2). In the passing game, the Browns averaged 202.6 while sitting 20th in attempts. For the season, they were 16th in terms of sacks allowed and 21st in quarterback hits allowed. In the running game, Cleveland averaged 146.5 rushing yards per contest.

The Browns' defense finished the season slightly below the league average at 22.4 points per game, which was 18th in the NFL. For the season, opponents averaged 331.2 yards per contest (12th). Cleveland was 9th in takeaways and ended the season with 34 sacks (14th).

Against the spread, the Browns put together a record of 8-8-1 on an average scoring margin of -1.2 points per game. As the favorite, the Browns were 3-4 vs. the spread while going 5-4-1 (ATS) as the underdog. Cleveland's over/under record came in at 8-8-1.
