The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed goaltender Martin Jones to a one-year, $875,000 contract. The 33-year-old is switching teams for a third consecutive summer, having previously played for four teams in total. He had a strong 27-13-3 record last season as a member of the Seattle Kraken but couldn't secure himself a new deal with the team. With Matt Murray (undisclosed) set to start the season on long-term Injured Reserve, Jones will be competing with Joseph Woll for the backup job behind Ilya Samsonov.--Taavi PailkRead More News
