Martin Truex Jr. is still winless at Michigan International Speedway, but the points leader had another strong race at the two-mile oval on Sunday and Monday. It was clear that Truex's No. 19 Toyota was the fastest car at Michigan this weekend, but a little bit of pit strategy by race-winner Chris Buescher kept Truex in second place when the checkered flag waved. Truex won both stages and led 47 of the 200 laps in this year's FireKeepers Casino 400. He had the chance to pass Buescher with only a handful of laps remaining, but Truex's No. 19 Toyota got loose when trying to make the pass, and he was never able to recover. Still, it was a great race for the Joe Gibbs Racing team, as Truex now has a commanding 57-point lead in the points standings over teammate Denny Hamlin with three races remaining in the regular season.--Jordan McAbee
