Last week, Beau Hossler was unable to make the cut at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. This was the second consecutive tournament in which he missed the cut, following eight consecutive tournaments in which he had made it. In his previous two appearances at the John Deere Classic, Hossler missed the cut in 2021 and placed 26th in 2019. Although he has performed decently overall, his approach play has been subpar this year, with rankings in the 26th percentile for strokes gained per shot and the 17th percentile for proximity to the hole on approach shots from 100-150 yards in the fairway.
