Mo Bamba could still have a future with the Los Angeles Lakers despite the team waiving him last week, according to Jovan Buha of The Athletic. "L.A. is targeting another big man with its 14th roster spot," Buha has reported. "They are likely to carry 14 guaranteed contracts into the season, leaving one roster spot open. Mo Bamba, whom the Lakers waived on Thursday, and Tristan Thompson, who joined the team right before their playoff run, remain options to fill that 14th spot, according to league sources." The Lakers acquired Bamba in four-team trade in the middle of last season from Orlando, but the 25-year-old couldn't make much of an impact, suiting up in only nine regular-season games and three playoff matches. Things likely won't change for him in 2023-24 if he indeed returns to the Lakers.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerRead More News
