Defenseman John Klingberg has decided to join the Toronto Maple Leafs as a free agent, signing a one-year, $4.15 million contract. Klingberg hit the open market for a second consecutive year after spending his first eight NHL seasons in Dallas. He penned a $7 million pact with the Ducks last summer but completed the 2022-23 campaign with the Minnesota Wild. Now, Klingberg is on the move again, joining an ambitious Maple Leafs side. Klingberg was one of the top offensive defensemen in the league not long ago, but he has been a disappointment for fantasy managers in recent seasons. Last season, the 30-year-old totaled only 10 goals and 33 points in 67 games, posting a career-low scoring average of 0.49 points per game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerRead More News
