Ryan Preece has raced four times at Kansas and has finished no higher than 21st. The Stewart-Haas Racing Ford begins this Sunday from the 28th position. Intermediate track racing has not been the strong suit of Preece. His No. 41 car was 0.835 seconds slower in qualifying compared to William Byron.
