New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes picked up one assist as the team crushed New York 4-0 in Game 7 Monday night. Hughes had his helper on the team's third goal when Erik Haula made it 3-0 with 5:03 left in regulation. New Jersey's young star led all forwards on the team with 20:53 of ice time and was plus-one for the contest with two shots on goal. Hughes was largely held in check by the Rangers throughout the series, but he had three goals in the opening four games and totaled five points overall, which is a decent haul for a young player in his first playoff series. The Devils now face Carolina in the second round, a team against whom Hughes produced three goals and two assists in four games during the regular season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
