Florida Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad is considered day-to-day after he suffered an upper-body injury against the Islanders on Friday. With a little over seven minutes played in the first period, the star defenseman was involved in a scrum and it looked like he hurt his right shoulder. Ekblad is set for further evaluations on Saturday. Having already missed 10 games this season because of a groin problem, he will be desperate to avoid another spell on the sidelines. Ekblad has had a very rough month, posting only four points and a minus-seven rating in 12 outings. He's gone for 14 points overall in 24 games with a minus-14 rating, so there's plenty of room for improvement left for the second half of the season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
