ANALYSIS: With San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel likely sidelined for the remainder of the regular season, the Niners will be forced to test the depth of their receiving corps.
We can expect the usual suspects such as Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle to see a bump in usage in Samuel's absence. This should also lead to elevated volume for third-year WR Jauan Jennings.
The former Tennessee Volunteer has been a solid, if unspectacular contributor for the Niners. Jennings has logged 303 receiving yards with one TD in 2022.
Jennings is a gritty player who does a lot of things well, but those contributions don't always show up in the box score. That said, he is a capable player that will see plenty of playing time in Samuel's absence.
However, we shouldn't expect him to have a huge fantasy impact in a run-heavy Niners offense that's currently being led by Brock Purdy. Desperate fantasy managers in the deepest of leagues can give Jennings a look at the FLEX position.
