Josh Allen Injury Update

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (elbow) is expected to be active for Sunday's Week 10 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. ESPN's Adam Schefter noted that Allen plans to be active, but might still be the backup to Case Keenum. This is basically a strategic move, so the Vikings don't see if Allen is going to play until closer to game time.

The Bills medical staff said Allen's injury can't get worse by playing. The assumption is that Allen is going to start unless he suffers a setback pregame. Fantasy managers need to monitor the situation up until kickoff.

Swift said he may not be 100 percent the rest of the year, and until he sees more of a role, he'll be a touchdown-dependent, low-end RB2 in fantasy.

Kyler Murray Injury Update

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Colt McCoy is likely to get the start under center for Sunday's Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. The Cardinals current starter Kyler Murray (hamstring) appears unlikely to suit up for this game. The team claims that Murray will test out his hamstring pregame before they make a final decision.

However, friends of McCoy called Saturday night to purchase tickets for this upcoming game. It sounds increasingly likely that McCoy is going to get the starting nod. The 36-year-old probably doesn't have much left in the tank.

The absence of Murray would be a significant hit to the fantasy value of DeAndre Hopkins and the other receivers on this roster. The Cardinals are likely going to go run-heavy with short passes, assuming McCoy does start. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a streaming option because McCoy doesn't offer much upside.

Ezekiel Elliott Injury Update

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott (knee) is in danger of sitting out during the Week 10 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. The 27-year-old will test out his knee pregame before the team makes a final decision. There was optimism earlier in the week, but it sounds like the team might take the cautious approach here. It seems like Elliott is going to sit unless he is 100 percent healthy before game time.

Matthew Stafford Injury Update

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (concussion) is not expected to clear protocol ahead of Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

If the veteran is indeed inactive, John Wolford would draw the start. Now 27 years old, Wolford's lone NFL start came back in 2020 when he completed 22 passes for 231 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. He also rushed for 56 yards in that contest. This development does not bode well for Los Angeles' playmakers, especially its pass-catchers.

Brandin Cooks Injury Update

Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks (wrist) traveled with the team to New York and is expected to play on Sunday against the Giants. The veteran isn't happy in Houston and was looking to be traded ahead of the deadline. However, that didn't happen, so it appears he'll remain a Texan through the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

Cooks has totaled 32 catches for 354 yards and a touchdown this season and hasn't played since the Week 8 meeting versus the Titans. While he is arguably the best offensive player on the roster, it's unknown how much work he'll receive in Week 10. As a result, he should be considered a risky flex option with upside.

Keenan Allen Injury Update

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen did not practice this week as he continues to deal with a lingering hamstring injury. The Chargers officially ruled Allen out for their Week 10 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers.

The 30-year-old is a target hog when healthy and must remain stashed. He says he won't return until he's 100 percent. Joshua Palmer and DeAndre Carter will continue to have expanded roles with Mike Williams (ankle) still out for L.A. as well.

Jonathan Taylor Injury Update

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) practiced all week and is set to return as the team's workhorse running back this week. Between the ankle injury and the Colts' abysmal offensive line, Taylor has not lived up to the high first-round ADP he had in August.

However, with a week to heal his ankle, and the fact that interim head coach Jeff Saturday may be inclined to run the ball, Taylor is in a bounce-back spot.

The Raiders are one of the worst run defenses in the league, and this could be a game where we finally see the 2021 version of Taylor. He's a locked-in RB1, even in a bad offense. It helps that Deon Jackson (knee) has been ruled out.
