Fantasy Football Injury Reports For Week 6: James Conner, Tee Higgins, Jonathan Taylor, Rashod Bateman, Chris Olave, Kyle Pitts

Rashod Bateman - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Fantasy football injury updates and injury reports for RB, WR, TE, QB for Week 6 (2022), as of 10/13 including James Conner, Tee Higgins, Jonathan Taylor, Rashod Bateman, Chris Olave, and Kyle Pitts.

Week 6 of the NFL season has arrived, and the injury report is filled with star-studded names for fantasy football managers. Let's sift through all the updated injury reports and see where we stand for the upcoming week.

Today's updated fantasy football injuries report highlights several players for Week 6 including James Conner, Tee Higgins, Jonathan Taylor, Rashod Bateman, Chris Olave, Kyle Pitts, as of Thursday October 13, 2022. As always, it's important to keep up with the latest injury news, as things can change in a hurry.

Let's look at the updates for some wide receivers and see whether they may play in Week 6.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

James Connor Injury Update

Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (ribs) is expected to miss the Week 6 game against the Seattle Seahawks and potentially even more time, according to league sources. Darrel Williams (knee) has already been ruled out this weekend and Jonathan Ward (hamstring) has been placed on Injured Reserve, so Eno Benjamin and rookie Keaontay Ingram are the only two healthy RBs on the roster.

Conner missed his second straight day of practice on Thursday, and fantasy managers need to move him to their benches now. Benjamin played a season-high 54 percent of the snaps in last week's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and had eight carries for 25 yards and his first touchdown of the year. He also added three catches for 28 yards. As Arizona's likely lead back this Sunday, he'll have RB2 upside.

Jonathan Taylor Injury Update

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) will return to practice on Thursday, according to a source. The All-Pro running back was held out of practice on Wednesday and didn't play in last Thursday's overtime win over the Denver Broncos, but he has a chance to return this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Nyheim Hines (concussion) is also questionable to play this weekend after leaving the Week 5 game early with a concussion, so Indy's backfield is in flux right now. With Taylor out and Hines injured last Thursday, Phillip Lindsay and Deon Jackson split the backfield duties. We'll have a better idea about Taylor's status for Week 6 on Friday, but fantasy managers should consider him questionable right now.

Rashod Bateman Injury Update

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman (foot) is missing practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday. It's Bateman's fifth straight missed practice overall, and he doesn't look to be close to returning after being inactive for Sunday night's win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The 22-year-old will need to get in some practice reps on Friday if he wants to have a shot to play this Sunday against the New York Giants.

If Bateman misses another game, Devin Duvernay would once again be in line for more work in the passing game after he played a season-high 72 percent of the snaps and caught five of seven targets for 54 yards in the Week 5 victory. He also carried the ball three times for 24 yards.

Chris Olave Injury Update

New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver Chris Olave (concussion) took another step forward on Thursday in his recovery from a concussion that he suffered in the Week 5 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Olave took part in football activities during the open portion of practice. If he has no symptoms, the next step would be full participation in practice on Friday, which would put him in line to be cleared to play in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The 22-year-old first-rounder scored his second touchdown in as many weeks last Sunday before leaving with a concussion, but he has a shot to play this weekend for fantasy managers. And if Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) are unable to play again, Olave will be the team's No. 1 wideout yet again.

Tee Higgins Injury Update

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (ankle) was not in uniform and did not practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Higgins aggravated his ankle injury early in Sunday night's loss to the Baltimore Ravens and gave his fantasy managers a donut in the scoring column, and he's trending towards missing Week 6 against the New York Giants unless he can get back on the practice field on Friday.

If the 23-year-old is unable to play this weekend, it will open up more looks for Ja'Marr ChaseTyler Boyd and tight end Hayden HurstMike Thomas would also have a bigger role for Cincinnati as the No. 3 receiver behind Chase and Boyd.

Kyle Pitts Injury Update

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) is practicing for the second straight day on Thursday. Pitts was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday, but it's great news that he's back on the field after being held out of the Week 5 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Barring some sort of setback, it's looking more likely that he'll return on Sunday to face the San Francisco 49ers.

With a disappointing 10 catches on 22 targets for 150 yards and no touchdowns through four games in the early going, Pitts has been a tough sell for fantasy managers as a TE1 play. And things won't get any easier for him this weekend if he plays, as the Niners defense has allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game (4.0) to TEs in half-point PPR scoring.

Michael Thomas, Jarvis Landry Injury Updates

New Orleans Saints wide receivers Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) were both held out of practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday. Thomas has missed the last two games, while Landry was inactive in the Week 5 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Both receivers will likely need to practice on Friday to have a shot at playing in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Rookie wideout Chris Olave (concussion) and Deonte Harty (foot) are also on the injury report, so the Saints' receiving corps is extremely beat up at the moment. Depending on who is actually active of this group on Sunday, Tre'Quan Smith and Marquez Callaway could be looking at significant roles in the passing game in Week 6.
