Jose Altuve Not Playing Against Orioles
Jose Altuve (elbow) is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles. Altuve left Wednesday's game early after he was hit by a pitch on the elbow, so he'll take a day off on Thursday. The good news is that X-rays came back negative and he expects to be back in the lineup on Friday against Baltimore. With Altuve on the bench, veteran utility man Aledmys Diaz will start at second base and bat seventh against Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish. Diaz has only played in five games so far in the month of September, but he's gone 6-for-18 (.333) with two home runs, six RBI and three runs scored.
