Yahoo! Quarterback - Week 16 DFS Picks

Drew Brees (vs TB, $37)

Brees absolutely exploded on the Cardinals last week as he dropped 389 yards and four touchdowns on them in a New Orleans win. It was the fourth time that Brees has thrown for four touchdowns this season and not surprisingly three of those games have come at home. Brees has also notched four three touchdown games and has a high floor at home this season and over the course of his career. This weekend Brees will face a Bucs defense that has allowed over 250 passing yards per game and 23 points per game. He will face them in a dome with perfect weather conditions after sleeping in his own bed. Don't over think it and join me and get Brees into several of your lineups this weekend.

Colin Kaepernick (at LA, $27)

At just $27 this week Kaepernick is a rather interesting GPP play as he goes up against the Rams in nice playing conditions in sunny southern California. Not only have the Rams allowed over 23 points per game this season, but Kaepernick has managed to post over 18 points per contest this season, and that includes a 2.16 point stinker in Chicago where he was benched. I don't think that he'll explode for a ton of points, but I do think that he's likely to be a solid value play with a decent floor.

Yahoo! Running Backs - Week 16 DFS Picks

Frank Gore (at OAK, $23)

Gore has averaged 12.8 FPPG this season and, when you combine that with the 116.9 rushing yards per game that Oakland has allowed, we have the makings of a delicious cocktail in front of us. At just $23 I love Gore this weekend in what should be a high scoring game that takes place in good playing conditions as far as weather goes. Not only do I expect Frank to pile up the yards, but I would be surprised if he didn't score a TD.

Bilal Powell (at NE, $18)

Powell has been great over the past two weeks as he posted 21.7 and 32.4 fantasy points against the Dolphins and 49ers respectively. This week Powell and the Jets will head to Foxboro to face the Patriots. While they have a much better defense than the last two opponents, the Jets should be playing from behind the entire game, and that game flow should help Powell in the number of targets and receptions he receives. At just $18 Bilal should be a solid value with a fairly high ceiling. Go get him go getters.

Yahoo! Wide Receivers - Week 16 DFS Picks

Brandin Cooks (vs TB, $25)

Cooks has been terrific at home this season as that is where Brees and the Saints tend to shine the brightest. In fact Cooks has managed to post double digit points in all but one contest in New Orleans this season on his way to a solid 14.7 FPPG. While Cooks has a remarkably high floor at home in the weather proof Mercedes-Benz Superdome he also has an immensely high ceiling. Just last week he posted 34.1 points, and has notched 27 or more points three times this season. At just $25 you can likely get a big score into your lineups this weekend.

Michael Thomas (vs TB, $25)

In case you've been living under a rock, Michael Thomas has broken out in a big way this season and has averaged an impressive 13.1 FPPG. I have no idea how Thomas slipped all the way to the 47th pick in last year's draft, but it's clear now that the 29 other teams in the league all made a huge mistake. Don't make one this weekend by not getting the ultra talented Thomas into your lineups in a home matchup with the Buccaneers. Feel free to stack those Saints.

Yahoo! Tight End - Week 16 DFS Picks

Jason Witten (vs DET, $14)

Witten continues to be a solid option at TE as he's managed a respectable 8.2 FPPG this season. Over his past six games Witten has been targeted seven or more times in five of them. This gives him a solid floor at a reasonable price. Thanks to some Zeke guy, Witten only has two touchdowns on the season, but that could change this week as Detroit is almost certainly going to focus on stopping the run. If they do Witten could be in for a big day that combines a boatload of targets that includes a trip or two to the end zone.

Yahoo! Defense - Week 16 DFS Picks

Seattle Seahawks D/ST (vs AZ, $18)

The Seahawks have been great at home all season and managed to post 15 points when they played the Cardinals earlier this season in Arizona. The cold weather should help them this weekend as it will be cold and rainy on Saturday afternoon. Seeing as how Carson Palmer is bad in perfectly fine weather conditions the Seahawks should feast on him when it's in the thirties and raining cats and dogs. Not only do I expect a double digit floor, but there is 15-20 point upside to go with it.
