Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving (toe) emerged as one of the league's best rookies through eight games. His elite short-area quickness and ability to duck, dive, and dodge away from opposing defenders have made him very valuable to his team's offense and, thus, to fantasy managers as well.
Though he's technically not the starting RB for the team, it's clear that his level of play is higher than that of starter Rachaad White and third-string man Sean Tucker. He's not the best pass-protector, though, so that overall limits his playing time. So does the injury he's been dealing with.
So, will Irving play Monday Night Football tonight? Here is the latest injury update on Irving.

Bucky Irving Fantasy Football Injury Update
He's officially listed as "Questionable" on Tampa Bay's injury report now. He's dealing with a toe injury that's been bothering him since college. It's likely something that will have to be managed via limited practices and possibly missed practice sessions in the future.

However, it's expected that he will play. He could end up with this "Questionable" tag for many future games, but fantasy managers should understand that it won't be a surprise. It seems that it's unlikely to affect his ability to play on Sundays.

If he's truly been dealing with it all season, fantasy managers will have to hope that he doesn't re-aggravate it at any point.
Bucky Irving Fantasy Football Injury Impact
It seems that either the injury isn't affecting his ability to play much or that he's so explosive, elusive, and shifty that he's able to play at a high level, even through significant pain and possible lack of mobility of his toe. Altogether, it's not a huge deal for fantasy, but it's worth speculating if his ceiling is even higher.

He looks nearly impossible to tackle at times and is a nightmare matchup for linebackers. Opposing defenses' best bets are to take him down at or near the line of scrimmage. They'll likely have trouble if they can't.
