Fantasy Football Trade Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider trading for or trading away heading into Week 10:

Travis Hunter, WR, Jaguars
Trade Value: 45.5
ROS Rank: 49

According to The Athletic's Michael Silver, Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter (knee) is not thought to have suffered long-term damage to his knee after picking up an injury at practice on Thursday.

Hunter was the victim of a non-contact injury late in the week. Although reports state his ACL remains intact, the Jags wasted no time sending him to IR. It's hapless timing for the rookie, who was coming off his best performance as a pro. Fortunately, the team doesn't seem too concerned about his ailment, though Silver noted that they have no intention of rushing him back.

Either way, Hunter will miss at least the next four contests. While he's sidelined, fantasy managers can expect teammates Parker Washington and Dyami Brown to pick up most of the slack behind the corps' leader, Brian Thomas Jr.

Verdict: Buy super low if possible, but only if you have an available IR slot

Omarion Hampton, RB, Chargers
Trade Value: 39.4
ROS Rank: 60

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said on Monday that he doesn't think the team will open the 21-day practice window for rookie first-round running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) until after their Week 12 bye, according to Kris Rhim of ESPN.

The 22-year-old rookie is eligible to return to practice this week as the club prepares to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football, but Hampton will not be on the practice field and isn't going to be eligible to return to action until Week 13 against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Nov. 30.

Fantasy managers must continue to be patient and keep Hampton stashed, as he should take over RB1 duties in the backfield again when he's healthy. In the meantime, Kimani Vidal will continue to see most of the backfield touches for the Bolts, making him at least an RB3/flex option until Hampton is cleared to return from Injured Reserve.

Verdict: Avoid acquiring in trades unless you can buy for 50 cents on the dollar, and have an IR slot

Ladd McConkey, WR, Chargers
Trade Value: 52.6
ROS Rank: 40

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey continued his hot streak, catching six of 10 targets for 88 yards and a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings last Thursday, leading the team in all major receiving categories. He ranks fifth in the league in targets and carries a solid 23.3% target share.

He faces a middle-of-the-pack Tennessee Titans pass defense, but McConkey's outlook is boosted by an especially favorable slot matchup against defensive back Roger McCreary, who is allowing an 85.7% catch rate to opponents.

While the overall passing volume might be limited due to a run-heavy game script, McConkey's high volume and favorable individual matchup keep his floor high. RotoBaller ranks him at WR13 this week. You can start him with confidence as a high-end WR2, with WR1 upside if he finds the endzone again.

Verdict: He's likely untouchable in trades at this point, so be prepaped to make your best offer

Garrett Wilson, WR, Jets
Trade Value: 41.7
ROS Rank: 56

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said on Monday that wide receiver Garrett Wilson (knee) "will be participating in practice this week," according to Brian Costello of the New York Post. Wilson hasn't played since hyperextending his knee in London back on Oct. 12 in a loss to the Denver Broncos, but the 25-year-old appears to be feeling better with the team coming off their bye in Week 9.

It's great news that Wilson is expected to get back onto the practice field this week, but it doesn't guarantee he'll be active for a Week 10 contest against the Cleveland Browns this Sunday. Creating more uncertainty for Wilson's fantasy value this week is the fact that the Jets might still be deciding who they are going to start at quarterback between Justin Fields and veteran Tyrod Taylor (knee).

Wilson could be limited if he returns this weekend, too, which would make him more of a WR3/flex option for fantasy managers if he suits up against the Browns.

Verdict: Buy low candidate due to team context and injury; averaging 16.6 FPPG in PPR scoring

Who Should I Trade For?

Week 10 Trade Decisions. Today's focus is on specific players - Bucky Irving, Travis Hunter, George Pickens, Ladd McConkey, Garrett Wilson, J.K Dobbins, Omarion Hampton. These are some key fantasy football names heading into this week's matchups.

Using The Trade Values. This is a simple trade value tool, but very powerful. In our fantasy football trade value rankings above, you will see the Trade Value for each player. The higher the number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Players with a high trade value number are players that you should be targeting more in trades.

How It Works. Each week, our RotoBaller staff puts together their weekly fantasy football rankings, projections, and trade values based on their research. That information is the core data that is powering the decision-making in this trade value rankings.

How To Calculate Trades. Fantasy football managers will make 1-for-1 trades, or 2-for-3 trades, or 3-for-2 trades, or many other combinations. For each side of the deal, add the trade values together. Whichever side has a higher total number wins the trade. For example, if someone is offering you three players, add the trade values of those three players together. Does the value of those three players exceed the values of the player(s) you are trading away? If so then it's a good deal for you.
