Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 18:

Chris Olave, WR, New Orleans Saints

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave caught eight of his 11 targets for 119 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's Week 17 win over the Tennessee Titans. Olave has been the highest-scoring fantasy receiver over the last three weeks, and he ranks as the overall WR6 in full-PPR leagues this season. Through 16 games, he now has 100 catches, 1,163 yards, and nine touchdowns, all of which are career-highs.

He has enjoyed a career resurgence in an upward-trending Saints offense led by rookie quarterback Tyler Shough. Olave will rank as a mid-to-high WR1 in the Saints' regular-season finale against the Atlanta Falcons next week, and he should maintain his status as a top-10 receiver heading into 2026 fantasy drafts.

Jayden Reed, WR, Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed has now played in four games since returning from collarbone and foot injuries that sidelined him for nearly three months. The 25-year-old has provided modest production in that stretch, hauling in 16 receptions for 162 yards on 17 targets. From a playing time perspective, Reed has mostly functioned as Green Bay's WR3 behind Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, which limits his production upside.

However, the Packers are now locked into the number seven seed in the NFC playoffs heading into their Week 18 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Green Bay could choose to rest starters or limit their playing time in the season's final week, which might provide Reed with a pathway to more opportunities. In PPR fantasy leagues with 12 or more teams, Reed could be a player worth targeting on the waiver wire.

Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy caught five of his seven targets for 54 yards in a gritty 13-6 victory in Week 17 over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jeudy stepped up after rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. (groin) left mid-way through the first quarter after reaggravating his groin injury. The veteran receiver has his most targets since Week 11 and most yards since Week 14 against a stout Steelers' pass defense.

The severity of Fannin Jr.'s injury is unclear as Week 17 draws to a close. Still, if the tight end were to miss Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Jeudy is likely to be rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders' primary target. However, the Bengals' pass defense is a bottom-three matchup for opposing wide receivers, which will probably limit Jeudy's upside.

Malik Davis, RB, Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys' fourth-year running back out of Florida, Malik Davis, led the backfield in running back touches in the Cowboys' Week 17 30-23 win on Christmas Day over the Washington Commanders. He stepped in for the injured Javonte Williams (shoulder) and ended the game with 20 rush attempts (5.15 YPC) for 103 yards. Additionally, over the past two games, he has earned 54 percent and 34 percent of the snaps, respectively. He is starting to see an increased workload as the season comes to an end for the eliminated-from-the-playoffs Cowboys.

With a strong Week 18 matchup looming against the New York Giants in Week 18, Davis is a must-add off the waivers for those fantasy managers still competing for a championship. If Williams were to sit out, Davis would immediately become a plug-and-play RB2.
