Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 18:

Jaydon Blue, RB, Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Jaydon Blue could play his most snaps in a game this season in Week 18's regular-season finale against the New York Giants, with both Javonte Williams (shoulder, neck) and Malik Davis (calf, eye) ruled out. The fifth-round rookie has only been active for four games this season, with his most recent appearance coming back in Week 8 in the loss to the Denver Broncos.

He has recorded 22 carries for 65 yards to go with one catch (one target) for five yards. Blue eventually lost his backup role to Davis after Week 8, but he could be set up for a big day on the ground on Sunday against the 30th-ranked Giants run defense. The Cowboys will likely use fullback Hunter Luepke more with Williams and Davis out, but Blue has big upside as a flex option for the final game of the regular season.

Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (knee) will be limited in practice again on Friday and will be evaluated before Sunday's Week 18 regular-season finale against the division-rival Buffalo Bills, according to head coach Aaron Glenn. With Isaiah Davis (concussion) not expected to play, the team's only other RBs are Kene Nwangwu and Khalil Herbert, with Raheem Blackshear on the practice squad.

It sounds as though Hall is very questionable to play in a meaningless game to close out the season for the Jets, so fantasy managers need to have a backup plan if they are still playing for a title this weekend. Despite playing in a poor offense all season long, Hall managed to reach the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the first time in his career while scoring five total touchdowns (four rushing, one receiving) in 16 games played. UPDATE: Hall is officially questionable to play in Week 18.

Xavier Worthy, WR< Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy (illness) missed practice all week and is considered doubtful to play in Sunday's Week 18 regular-season finale against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders. Worthy likely would have been ready to play had this game meant something, but with the Chiefs out of playoff contention, they are expected to rest the speedy Worthy.

KC's offense is limping to the finish line this year, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) and receivers Rashee Rice (concussion) and Tyquan Thornton (concussion) unavailable due to injuries. Marquise BrownJuJu Smith-Schuster, and rookie Jalen Royals should operate in three-wide sets on Sunday for starting quarterback Chris Oladokun. Worthy, who missed time early in the year with a shoulder injury, took a step back in Year 2 and finished with a disappointing 42-532-1 line in 14 games played.

Brian Robinson Jr., RB, San Francisco 49ers

Across 16 games this season, San Francisco 49ers running back Brian Robinson Jr. has recorded 90 carries for 391 yards and two touchdowns. The 26-year-old has spent the entirety of 2025 in a secondary role behind star 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, who leads the NFL with 399 touches heading into the team's Week 18 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

Robinson Jr. has been fairly efficient when given the opportunity so far this season, averaging 4.3 yards per carry. He's also proven to be a productive lead back at certain points in his career, recording 2,720 rushing yards and 22 total touchdowns across 57 career NFL games. However, his production upside in San Francisco is firmly capped as long as McCaffrey remains healthy. Robinson Jr. should not be on fantasy radars heading into Week 18.

Malik Davis, RB, Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys running back Malik Davis (calf, eye) has been ruled out for the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday against the division-rival New York Giants, according to The Athletic's Jon Machota. Javonte Williams (neck, shoulder) has also been ruled out, so rookie Jaydon Blue will see by far the most playing time he's had all season long to close things out. The 27-year-old Davis will finish his 2025 campaign on a high note after carrying the ball 20 times for 103 yards in the Christmas Day win over the Washington Commanders in Week 17.

He took over around midseason as the No. 2 back behind Williams and never let go. Davis could be in line for an even bigger role in 2026 if the Cowboys don't re-sign Williams. Davis finishes his third NFL season with 250 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 52 rushing attempts, adding two receptions for 16 yards in 10 games played.
