Charlie Condon Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
After falling short of the Opening Day roster, the Rockis opted to send their top prospect to Triple-A Albuquerque. However, even though he has never appeared in a Triple-A contest prior to this season, the slugging first baseman has looked quite comfortable.
Through nine games, Condon has held an impressive .323/.423/.645 slash line, a 1.077 OPS, one double, three home runs, and a stolen base. He missed a few games this week due to a cyst, but returned to the lineup a few days later.
On April 8, he enjoyed his first three-hit game of the young season, facing Triple-A El Paso with one of them leaving the yard as his third long ball of the campaign.

Charlie Condon Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
In camp, Condon showcased his raw upside, posting a .385/.457/.718 slash line with four doubles and three long balls over a short 20-game stint. Last summer, Condon spent his time with High-A and Double-A and held an overall .266/.379/.447 line with a .825 OPS and 14 home runs (over 90 games).
While he endured some growing pains in his transition to Double-A, he is quickly finding his footing at Triple-A, which should ease the concern of fantasy managers.
Even though TJ Rumfield has held his own at first base in the big leagues, Condon could find a role as the designated hitter or potentially move back to the outfield, especially if he continues on this current trajectory. His power upside, playing in a hitter's paradise at Coors Field, makes him a priority stash option in all 12+ team formats ahead of Week 3.
