Week 8 Waiver Wire Rankings - Fantasy Baseball Pickups Include Eury Perez, Harrison Bader, Alex Kirilloff, Triston Casas and more

Alex Kirilloff - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 8 of the 2023 MLB season. These are free agent options to add off waivers, and our rankings will help you prioritize.

Welcome back RotoBallers to our fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 8 - May 15th through May 21st. About 20% of the MLB regular season is completed, and some of the top prospects are starting to get all called up and delivering for fantasy managers right off the bat. The Miami Marlins called up their top pitching prospect Eury Perez, who struck out seven over 4 1/3 innings in his MLB debut, while Seattle Mariners rookie right-hander Bryce Miller owns a 0.42 ERA over his first three big league starts. Since being recalled from Triple-A St. Paul, Minnesota Twins, first baseman/outfielder Alex Kirilloff is hitting .438 with two home runs and three RBI over seven games.

Fantasy managers might have some injured stars return soon, such as Texas Rangers Corey Seager (hamstring), who is set to return in Week 8. Notable injury notes include Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Drew Rasmussen (forearm) landing on the 60-day injured list, while Chicago Cubs infielder Nico Hoerner (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day IL. The ball is flying out of the yard as offenses are heating up. We are here to help sort it all out with our latest waiver wire rankings article.

This week's waiver wire rankings feature players such as Eury Perez, Harrison Bader, Jake Fraley, Ezequiel Tovar, Nick Pratto, Alex Kirilloff, Triston Casas, Louie Varland, JJ Bleday, Luis L. Ortiz, and James Paxton rank, among others. We have also expanded our waiver wire list from the top 40 to 60 players for the week. Read more to see where these players rank in the waiver wire rankings for Week 8.

Week 8 Waiver Wire Roundup for Fantasy Baseball

Just like any other week, we have put together a full assortment of fantasy baseball waiver wire articles. You can see that full roundup below to help prepare you for Sunday night's waiver wire runs for leagues with weekly transactions.

For those who are not familiar, our team's fantasy baseball waiver wire articles get published on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays each week. First up is our closers and saves waiver wire report by David Marcillo and the deep fantasy hitter pickups article by Pranav Uppalapati, released late each week to give you a head start on the week ahead.

For you premium subscribers, you get our overall waiver wire article, compliments of Nick Mariano. These will give you a solid overview of the waiver wire options. RotoBaller's resident points league guru Nick Gaut brings you his weekly points league pickups for hitters.

In addition to these articles, we also dig deeper for each position with individual waiver wire articles: starting pitcher pickups, outfield pickups, 2B and SS pickups, 1B and 3B pickups, and players to consider dropping.
