Week 5 Outlooks For Fantasy Football

Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings - Fantasy Football Outlook

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) returned from an ankle injury last week and hopes to continue building a rapport with quarterback Sam Darnold in Week 5 against the New York Jets. The second-year receiver missed two-and-a-half games recovering from his injury and showed up in a big way in his first game back.

Addison found himself wide-open for a go-route touchdown in the first drive and later ran into the endzone on an end-around on the goal line. Minnesota wants to give their talented playmakers the ball in creative ways, making Addison a decent flex opportunity against an otherwise stingy Jets defense.

Despite the tough matchup, RotoBaller is on board with using Addison as a flex in most leagues, ranking him WR47 and 78th among all flex (RB, WR, TE) options for Week 5.

- Bruce Clark, RotoBaller

Christian Kirk, Jacksonville Jaguars - Fantasy Football Outlook

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk will look to continue his upward fantasy trajectory in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts. After a rough first two weeks, Kirk has turned things around, and now serves as a reliable starting fantasy receiver, especially in PPR leagues.

The former Arizona Cardinal isn't much of a threat in the red-zone or on deep bombs, but he is good at getting open quickly and serves as a great security blanket for Trevor Lawrence. It makes a lot of sense that the offense has looked better since Kirk started producing again.

The Colts serve as a great matchup for the Jaguars passing offense, boosting Kirk's value this week. Evan Engram potentially is returning from injury which should cut into the receiver's target share, but not enough to take him out of fantasy starting lineups anytime soon. Kirk serves as a great WR2/flex play with an extra boost in PPR leagues in Week 5.

- Seth Quinn, RotoBaller

Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens - Fantasy Football Outlook

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers put up two duds in back-to-back weeks when he registered finishes of WR81 and WR69 in half-PPR leagues. Coming into the season, his ceiling seemed to be closer to the WR1 level, but right now it seems to be low-end WR2.

Lamar Jackson hasn't consistently proven that he can feed more than one pass-catcher per game, so Flowers will need to be efficient with the touches he receives. It may be a bit tough as the Cincinnati Bengals rank 22nd in points allowed to opposing receiving groups with 25.6 fantasy points per game.

Since his potential is so game-script dependent, Flowers comes in as more of a low-level WR2 again for this AFC North matchup.

- Alex Fischbein, RotoBaller
