Tyler Allgeier is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 8 of the 2022 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 40% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: It might be hard to believe me when I say you should definitely target Tyler Allgeier on your league WW, but just looking at his workload will definitely make you change your perception of the running back.
Allgeier has gotten to rush the rock 10, 13, 15, and 16 times in the past four games posting a season-high number of touches just this past Sunday. Allgeier rushed for 50 yards and his first score of the season a couple of days ago against the Bengals away from home. It's the third time in six games played he's reached at least 50 yards rushing.
While Allgeier doesn't factor at all in Atlanta's passing game (he's just 2-for-2 on receptions for 25 yards), his role on rushing plays is obvious and as bulky as it can get with Cordarrelle Patterson out of commission.
At least until CP is back and with Damien Williams also in IR, Allgeier should be someone you should seriously consider if only because of his current volume. Things will change after those two are available, obviously, as Allgeier's production is based more on the number of chances he gets rather than on pure efficiency.
Thus, the advice is to roster him in 12-plus teams leagues with the warning of not starting him in anything else than deeper formats and looking forward to cutting him once things get back to normal in ATL.

Week 9 Waiver Wire Pickups - Brandon Aiyuk, Jalen Coker, Sterling Shepard Fantasy Football Outlooks
Wide receivers on waivers are always interesting players to try to snag. They can be hugely boom-or-bust players, especially in PPR leagues, where receptions count for a full point. That one point counts for the same as 10 rushing yards, 10 receiving yards, or 25 passing yards, meaning even players that sometimes operate as "PPR […]
