Ty Chandler fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 1 (2024). Should you start or sit Ty Chandler for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 20+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4
ANALYSIS: No one knows how the Minnesota Vikings backfield will play out this year. The team signed running back Aaron Jones this offseason, but the veteran has missed time in three of the past four seasons. As a result, Minnesota could decide to give Ty Chandler some more opportunities early on to keep Jones fresh.

However, Jones is no doubt the team's starter in 2024, while Chandler will come in as the backup. So, it's too hard to trust the latter in fantasy in most formats in Week 1 against the New York Giants. Even if the veteran sees somewhere around 65% of the team's offensive snaps this week, Chandler likely won't see enough volume to be fantasy-relevant.
That makes him a sit in most formats entering the start of the season. If you are in a 20-plus team league and desperately need a starting running back this week because you drafted Jonathon Brooks (knee) and/or Nick Chubb (knee), Chandler might not be the best option.
