Top Hitters to Stream in Week 25 for the Fantasy Baseball Playoffs

Below are my top MLB hitter streamer options for Week 25 of fantasy baseball. All players listed here are 50% owned or less in Yahoo leagues and play seven games this week. Playoffs are underway in the fantasy baseball season and these players can all help you get a leg up on the competition this week.

Streaming hitters is a great way to increase production and fantasy stats off the waiver wire for your head-to-head matchups. It can also help to mitigate the damage done by underperformers. Check back weekly for my favorite hitter streamers for the upcoming week.

Editor’s Note: RotoBaller’s fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups list is updated every single day. Our awesome writers bring you analysis on hot or emerging starting pitchers, and also all other fantasy positions. You can also download our waiver wire iPhone app for free, and easily stay updated.

Top Hitter Streamers for Week 25: Fantasy Baseball Playoffs Edition

1. Carlos Beltran, OF, Yankees

(3 @ TOR, 4 vs CHW) – 42% owned

Last year Beltran had an OPS under .800 for the first time since 2010 and only the second time since 2005. While it may have appeared he was falling off a cliff in terms of performance, this year he has rebounded to an .803 OPS. Even that figure is not reflective of how well he has played since a slow start to the year, where he posted a .481 OPS in April. In the second half, he has an .872 OPS. On the year, he is batting .279 with 16 homers in just 118 games. With 7 games in hitters' parks, he is the top streamer this week.

2. Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Pirates

(4 @ COL, 3 @ CHC) – 40% owned

Aramis is at the top of this list largely because (1) the Pirates play four games at Colorado and (2) Kang is out for the year. Ramirez, who has 385 career homers, has 16 on the year to go with 70 RBI. The last three months, Ramirez has posted OPSs of .757, .732, and .835. A good hitter playing four games in Colorado and with decent pitching matchups, Ramirez is the second best streamer this week.

3. Josh Harrison, 2B/3B/OF, Pirates

(4 @ COL, 3 @ CHC) – 50% owned

For the same two reasons as Aramis Ramirez, Harrison is a recommended option this week. After seemingly coming out of nowhere with a .315 average, 13 homers and 18 steals last year, Harrison has battled injuries this year and not shown the same power. However, he has hit .273 and stolen 10 bases in 99 games. The talent is there, and this week is a good chance for him to show his potential. With his stolen bases, he does provide a decent floor if he doesn't hit any homers in Coors.

4. Avisail Garcia, OF, White Sox

(4 @ DET, 4 @ NYY) – 46% owned

Garcia is on this list because the White Sox play 8 games this week. While he has the talent, his numbers have not been special but they have not been terrible either. This year, he is hitting .263 with 12 homers and 7 steals to go with 64 runs and 56 RBIs. With eight games, he should be a decent source of run production with the potential to give you a homer and/or steal while not killing you in average.

5. Khris Davis, OF, Brewers

(3 @ CHC, 4 @ STL) – 40% owned

Davis twisted his ankle so his injury situation needs to be monitored closely. He also faces poor pitching matchups, which is why he is not higher on this week's list. However, after an .867 OPS last month, he has an .890 OPS this month. On the year, he has 22 homers in only 106 games. His power potential is too high for him to be off the list, despite the injury and the pitching matchups weighing against him.
