Vegas Odds for the Day

NHL DFS Goalies

Triston Jarry- DK $8.5K || FD $8.8K

Opponent - Vancouver Canucks

Jarry is in the ideal bounce-back spot after conceding six goals to the Edmonton Oilers earlier in the week. The netminder has been on quite a tear to start the season and now he will visit the Canucks who are playing on the back half of their back-to-back after winning 5-4 last night in Seattle. Not only are the Canucks a low-possession team, ranking 27th in Fenwick adjusted per 60, but they are also the third-worst team in expected goals for per 60 – 2.52 – and the fourth-worst team in scoring chances for per 60 – 24.06 –. You may not get a ceiling game from Jarry, but he is worth paying up to for a good chance at a win.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Ullmark (DK $8.3K || FD $8.7K), Georgiev (DK $7.9K || FD $8K)

Centers

Pierre Luc-Dubois-DK $4.9K || FD $6.2K

Opponent - Arizona Coyotes

Not a shot should Dubois be this low in salary at this point in the season. The center has carried a bulk of the scoring for the Jets and he anchors a solid physical and skilled second line that now matches up against a weak Coyotes team. The Yotes concede the second-most scoring chances against per 60 – 38.33 – and expected goals against per 60 – 3.88 –. They are also the third-worst team in Fenwick against per 60 – 48.33 –. These all line up perfectly for Dubois to have the ideal fantasy night. Through 7 games this season, he has 3 goals, 2 assists, 21 shots and 3 blocked shots.

Patrice Bergeron- DK $7.2K || FD $7.7K

Opponent - Columbus Blue Jackets

After the solid 5-1 win last night against the Red Wings, the Bruins will be short-manned heading to Columbus. Not only will they be without Brad Marchand – easing him back into play –, but they will now also be without second-line center David Krejci. This will put the bulk of the offense on Bergeron to carry and he may very well see teammate David Pastrnak get bumped to his line to help him out. Luckily, he gets the Jackets who are not playing poor defense, but their goaltending tandem is one of the worst tandems in the league to start the season. Furthermore, expected starter Elvis Merzlikins is the 7th-worst goalie in the league currently with -1.375 goals saved above expected per 60. If Bergeron were to not get Pastrnak as a linemate, you can also check out Charlie Coyle- DK $3.1K || FD $4K who will most likely take up the mantle of second-line center.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): MacKinnon (DK $8.6K || FD $9.9K), Poulin (DK $2.5K || FD $3K) ** Poulin is listed at W on FanDuel **

NHL DFS Wings

Wings

Jesper Bratt- DK $5.7K || FD $7.5K

Opponent - Colorado Avalanche

Bratt is on fire and it helps that he has been sent to the second-line with teammate Jack Hughes. The duo has been tearing it up recently and in Bratt’s last five games, he has 3 goals, 6 assists, 16 shots and 1 blocked shot. Not too shabby of production for someone that sits in the middle of the salary range. If you date back to the beginning of the season, Bratt has 3 goals, 9 assists, 21 shots and 1 blocked shot. Bratt is on a 7-game point streak. Even though he will match up against Colorado, the Avalanche have shown they are not impenetrable and he will also see a bulk of Colorado’s second line who will not be able to handle the speed and aggression that the Devils’ second-line possesses.

Jeff Carter- DK $4.9K || FD $5.5K

Opponent - Vancouver Canucks

Carter got a massive bump in value in the Penguins’ 4-1 loss to Calgary after he moved from the third-line to the second-line. The center, converted winger, assisted one goal, took 3 shots and blocked 3 shots. The Canucks will be traveling back home after barely winning last night in Seattle where they conceded 4 goals. As long as Carter is seeing time with higher-skilled players – i.e. Malkin – he will be worth every penny.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Pastrnak (DK $8.8K || FD $10.4K), Nichushkin (DK $7.4K || FD $9.3K)

NHL DFS Defensemen

David Jircek- DK $2.5K || FD $3.5K

Opponent - Boston Bruins

Jiricek will make his long-awaited debut for the Jackets after multiple injuries have occurred to the blue line. The rookie was selected 6th overall in the 2022 NHL Draft and he has put up 4 assists in 5 games for the Cleveland Monsters of the AHL. Prior to Jiricek being drafted, he tallied 8 goals and 12 assists, as well as going +13 in 63 games for HC Plzen – a team in the top tier of the Czech Republic –. Those are some impressive stats for a teenage defenseman playing amongst men. Now he gets a shot to show what he can do on the big stages of North America.

Josh Morrissey- DK $4.9K || FD $4.6K

Opponent - Arizona Coyotes

Morrissey is currently on pace to set new career highs this season after assisting 6 goals in 7 appearances to start the year. He also has 9 shots and 13 blocked shots. Those are terrific peripherals for the defenseman and it proves that he is elevating his game to the next level by helping in all facets of the game. Aforementioned, the Coyotes are not a stellar defensive or offensive team and Morrissey should have every chance to extend his point streak to three games.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Dobson (DK $6.3K || FD $6.6K), Lindholm (DK $4.6K || FD $5.2K)
