As we head into Week 13 of the NFL season, many fantasy managers are left searching for viable streaming options at the DST spot for Sunday, December 4th. The DST position is one of the trickier propositions in fantasy football, but can sometimes be the difference between wins and losses.
The Green Bay Packers have underwhelmed in 2022 and that's especially true of their defense. However, they draw a somewhat enticing matchup against the Chicago Bears in Week 13.
So, should we start the Packers' DST this week against Chicago?

What Has The Packers DST Done in 2022?
The Packers have been a disappointing DST unit in 2022. Green Bay has underperformed high preseason expectations and is allowing an average of 23.6 points per game, which ties them for 22nd in the NFL. Neither the Packers' 24 sacks nor their eight INTs stand out from the crowd this year.
They currently stand tied for 24th in the league in average DST fantasy points per game at just 5.2.
Should I Start The Packers DST In Week 13 Fantasy Football?
The Packers head into a Week 13 divisional clash with the Chicago Bears on the heels of relinquishing 40 points to the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday night. This Green Bay defensive unit has now allowed 27 or more points in three straight games.
The Pack looked to be a better option earlier in the week when it appeared as though the Bears' QB Justin Fields would miss Week 13. However, Fields has progressed nicely throughout the week and is now expected to suit up against Green Bay.
Green Bay profiles as nothing more than a middling fantasy option against Chicago this week. The Packers rank 21st in the NFL in both DST fantasy points scored and Total Defense DVOA. While fantasy GMs could certainly do worse, they shouldn't go out of their way to target Green Bay as a DST streamer.
