BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 13% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: If something is clear in Houston, that is Rex Burkhead's role becoming more prominent each of the few past weeks: the rusher has gone from playing 24 snaps to log 35, 38, and lastly 42 in consecutive weeks from W13 through last Sunday. Not only is Burkhead playing more but also getting more touches than anybody else in the Texans' offense and performing to reasonable levels to trust him next weekend.
Burkhead has only had three double-digit PPR-point games this season spread over an eight-week span. He first did so in W8 (13.8), then in W14 (10.6), and finally this past weekend when he destroyed the Charges in Houston's upset of LA with a ridiculous 28.9 PPR tally. Burkhead has got an increasing number of carries four weeks in a row (from 8 to 11, 16, and now 22) and he had an impressive outing this Sunday with 149 rushing yards on those 22 attempts, including scoring a couple of TDs on the day.
The reasoning for adding-and-playing Burkhead in Championship weekend is very simple: David Johnson is banged up and didn't practice at all this past week (we'll see if he gets back next week and if he's limited, which is more than probable) and Royce Freeman looks like a no-threat for Burkhead (he only appeared on 24 plays, though he carried the rock 12 times for a measly 34 yards). Burkhead should be rostered in every league and most probably played in at least 12+ Team leagues at the Flex spot without much hesitation.
