Quarterback Matchups to Target in Divisional Round - Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Thunder Dan's favorite QB matchups to exploit for the Divisional Round - DFS quarterbacks to target on DraftKings and FanDuel. These QB matchups are GPP and cash game opportunities.

The divisional round of the playoffs is here and we have four great matchups in the NFL this weekend!

Whether you’re looking to stack in GPPs or lock in a safe play for cash games, these quarterbacks are set to deliver this weekend. You'll notice that these QBs all bring rushing upside as well, and I think you need a dual-threat signal caller in your lineups.

Let’s dive into the top QB plays for the divisional round of the NFL Playoffs.

Lamar Jackson – BAL at BUF ($7,800 DK, $8,700 FD)

Jackson is having the best year of his career and is in the running for another MVP. The addition of Derrick Henry in Baltimore this year has only made Jackson an even more dangerous runner as he racked up 915 yards and averaged 6.6 yards per carry. Those marks are the best he's posted since the 2020 season, and he's improved considerably as a passer since then, making him the ultimate dual-threat QB in the league.

The Bills will be hard-pressed to stop Jackson. He's thrown for two or more TDs now in seven straight games while continuing to be an effective runner and complement to Henry.

Jackson tossed two TDs against the Bills in their Week 4 week while also running for 54 yards. He's the most expensive QB on the slate for good reason as he comes into this game in fantastic form and brings a massive ceiling for DFS contests.

Josh Allen – BUF vs. BAL ($7,700 DK, $9,000 FD)

The other QB in this game is no slouch either as Allen has his case for MVP to make. Allen's passing numbers are down a bit this season, but only because the Bills have been so effective at running the football. James Cook has been a stud and Allen continued his rushing prowess by racking up 531 yards and a whopping 12 rushing touchdowns this season.

While Jackson often hands off to Henry inside the five-yard line, Allen serves as the short-yardage and goal-line runner for Buffalo in this offense. So he brings a huge ceiling of his own as he saw him run for three touchdowns while passing for three TDs once this season. He also had two games in which he passed for two TDs and ran in two more on the ground.

If the Bills win this game, it's likely because Allen had a huge performance either through the air or on the ground (or both) and he probably finishes as the QB1 on the slate.

Jalen Hurts – PHI vs. LAR ($6,800 DK, $8,200 FD)

Hurts had some critics after he started slowly last week, but he was working his way back from a 3-week absence as he had a concussion and then a week off to rest in Week 18. He still finished with two passing TDs and ran for 36 yards on the ground, which for most QBs would be a very successful day at the office.

The bar is just set pretty high for Hurts and the stakes are high, too, as the Eagles will need to be better on offense this week against a good Rams team. I think Hurts will be up for the challenge and you could make the case that no QB on this slate has an arsenal of weapons that Hurts does when A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Godert are all healthy - and they should be for Sunday's game.

I'll happily take the discount that Hurts offers from Allen and Jackson for cash games as he brings the same type of ceiling with his rushing upside and touchdown-scoring ways (embrace the tush push, people!).

Thanks for reading, and good luck with your DFS contests!
