Jerami Grant Likely to Play Against the Hawks on Thursday
Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (Achilles) has spent about a month recovering from left Achilles tendonitis, but he was listed as probable for his team's home game against the Hawks on Thursday night. Grant will likely carry as much of the offense as he can with Deni Avdija (back) still absent for a second straight game. After so long a layoff, Grant will likely have a minutes restriction, but the veteran showed he can still post good numbers by averaging 21.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 0.8 blocks in 32.9 minutes per contest over his last 13 appearances. Sidy Cissoko is most likely heading to the bench Thursday with Caleb Love starting for Avdija, although the Blazers could opt to keep Cissoko in the starting five and slide Grant into Avdija's spot.
