Vegas Golden Knights forward Mitchell Marner is battling an illness, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports. Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy revealed that an illness was going around the locker room, affecting Marner, Shea Theodore, and a third, unnamed player. Marner has been a good fit in Vegas this season, posting 59 points (16 goals, 43 assists) in as many games. He has been used throughout the lineup, most recently as the second-line center. If Marner can't play in Tuesday's matchup with the Buffalo Sabres, Tomas Hertl will likely get a chance to join the top six.--Taavi Pailk
