Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Wednesday, October 4, 2023. The 2023 MLB postseason is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks.
PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play.

PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Zach Eflin MORE than 4.5 hits allowed
Zach Eflin has allowed five or more hits in five of his previous seven starts. He will be up against an explosive Rangers offense in this one as well. Over the previous three weeks, Texas has posted an .803 OPS vs. right-handers, which ranks fourth-best in baseball. While they have posted a walk rate of 11.6%, I do not think this will hinder their ability to rack up hits as Eflin has only walked more than one batter once in his previous 17 starts.
Trea Turner MORE than 7.5 hitter fantasy score
Trea Turner looked solid last night as he went 2-for-3 with a single, double, and a walk. This is a number he has eclipsed in six of his previous nine games. He will be up against Marlins' left-hander, Braxton Garrett as well, which is good news as Turner has posted a .904 OPS vs. Southpaws since 2021. Meanwhile, Garrett has allowed a .262 BAA with 17 bombs to right-handed hitters in 2023.
Nathan Eovaldi MORE than 14.0 pitching outs recorded
This is the favorite play on the PrizePicks Optimzier this morning as it has been given a 58.85% chance of success. I am a fan of the play as well and Eovaldi has been known to be solid in the postseason. He has also gone more than 14 pitching outs in all but a few recent starts after coming off of the IL. It is a tad risky for this reason, but it is unlikely the Rangers would deploy him in such an important game if they didn't have the faith that he could execute.
