PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Justin Verlander more than 6.5 strikeouts
Verlander has a great matchup against the Yankees tonight as they are posting a 29.7% K rate vs. right-handers over the previous three weeks, which is ranked dead last in baseball. They are also pairing this with a lackluster wRC+ mark of 65, which is also ranked dead last in baseball. Add in the fact that Verlander has eclipsed this total in three of his previous four starts, and you have a solid shot at the more than here.
Chris Flexen more than 3.0 strikeouts
This is a bit of an odd play as Flexen is not exactly a strikeout artist. That being said, he has eclipsed this total in five of his six starts since coming out of the bullpen to become a starter. He will be up against the Blue Jays, who are posting a 20.8% K rate vs. right-handers over the previous three weeks. This game will also be the first of a three-game series for the Blue Jays in Coors Field, which lends to the Coors Effect and the possibility of them striking out a bit more than usual.
Cal Quantrill less than 4.0 strikeouts
Qunatrill is coming off of the IL with a shoulder injury, so he may not be long for this game to begin with. He has also only managed to eclipse this total in one (!) of his 13 starts in 2023. He will also be up against a Rays offense that is rather hot right now. Over the previous three weeks, Tampa Bay has posted a wRC+ mark of 142 against right-handed pitching, which ranks third-best in baseball over that span.
Patrick Sandoval more than 5.5 strikeouts
Sandoval will be up against the Athletics in this one, who have struggled a bit against left-handers in recent weeks. Over the previous three weeks, Oakland is posting the sixth-highest K rate vs. lefties with a rate of 26.3%. They are also pairing this with a walk rate of just 5.7%, which ranks eighth-worst over that span. Meanwhile, Sandoval has eclipsed this total in three of his previous four starts and has posted a K/9 mark that is nearly a full strikeout higher on the road compared to at home.
